He is the music director of the Guzheng Training Center of the Fuzhou Music Association and a member of the Chinese National Orchestra Association. In 1983, he was admitted to Fujian Art School with the first place in the province. In the same year, he was recommended to the Affiliated Middle School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 1987, he entered the Department of Folk Music of Shanghai Conservatory of Music to study.
