Chen Jiaqi is from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. Professor of the Central Conservatory of Music, member of the Communist Party of China. Suona player, member of Chinese Musicians Association. He loved music and literature since he was a child, and learned instruments such as violin, erhu, flute, and sanxian in his early days.

In 1950, he joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army and became the backbone of the army's music culture. In 1954, he transferred to Chengdu Sichuan Opera House as a composer and performer. In 1957, he was admitted to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, majoring in the art of suona performance. In 1959, he transferred to the Central Conservatory of Music, where he studied whistle under the tutelage of the famous suona performer Mr. Chen Jiaqi. Graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with excellent grades. In the same year, he started teaching suona at Sichuan Conservatory of Music. In 1984, he was transferred to the Department of Folk Music of the Central Conservatory of Music to teach. In the nearly 40 years of art and teaching activities, in addition to winning the first prize of the Sichuan Music Festival Suona Solo Performance and the National Music Tuning Suona Solo Performance Award, he has been invited to perform in Germany, France, Switzerland, Singapore and Taiwan. praised by domestic and foreign media.

He edited and published "Suona Basic Course", "Suona Song Selection", "Selected Collection of Traditional Solo Music for National Instruments...Suona Album", "Suona Traditional Music Selection", "Central Conservatory of Music Suona Textbook" (this textbook contains Teaching content at different stages of primary school, middle school, and university), "National Instrumental Music Expo - Suona Volume" was compiled by the Nanyang Academy of Arts and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts "Chinese Musical Instruments Overseas Suona Examination Textbook". A large number of outstanding folk suona repertoires in Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Shanxi, Sichuan and other places have been collected and sorted out, most of which are published by publishing houses. He has created nearly 100 pieces of instrumental and vocal music, and the main works published include "Another Harvest Year", "Iron Bull Drives into the Mountains", "Tianfu is Beautiful", "Sending Fertilizer", "Curved Water Flows Around the Village", etc. . He has recorded a number of music pieces, and has collaborated to record a number of CD and tape albums of "Zhihua Temple Music" for Germany, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan. He has published many papers such as "Melodic Development Techniques of Suona Traditional Music", "Breathing Method for Suona Performance", "On Suona Tone, Volume and Control", "Scientific and Standardized Suona Music Notation" and so on. A large number of students (including students from Japan, France, Singapore, Malaysia, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan), most of whom have excellent academic performance, are the backbone of senior and more advanced professional literary and art groups or teachers of music schools. He has made his own contributions to the inheritance and development of Chinese suona performance art. Mr. Chen has made outstanding contributions to the succession and development of Chinese suona art. His performance has been included in many dictionaries such as "Chinese Experts Dictionary" and "World Celebrities". Artist" title.

Chen Jiaqi, a famous Chinese suona player, passed away in Beijing due to illness on the 14th. The farewell ceremony for his remains will be held at 10:00 am on March 21, 2008 (Friday) in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery Bamboo Hall in Beijing.
