Mr. Chen Zhenduo once taught in the music department of Peiping University, successively served as a professor of the Music Department of Tianjin Hebei Women's Normal University, a professor of Chongqing Qingmuguan National Conservatory of Music and the executive director of the professor's association, the deputy director and professor of the appointment committee of Nanjing National Conservatory of Music, and a professor of the Music Department of Anhui Normal University. , Director of the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, Professor of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Professor of the Minzu University of China, and Director of the Folk Music Teaching and Research Section of the Music Department. Chen Zhenduo has been fond of music since childhood, and is good at erhu, jinghu, piano, Xiaodi, etc. He also has some research on guqin, pipa and other musical instruments. Also good at calligraphy, good at landscape painting. In 1925, he studied in the painting and music department of Jinan Fine Arts School. After graduating in 1928, he was admitted to the Shanghai Guoli Conservatory of Music. In 1929, he was transferred to the Music Department of Peking University School of Art and studied erhu under the tutelage of Liu Tianhua, a famous Chinese music master. In 1932, recommended by Mr. Liu Tianhua, Chen Zhenduo went to teach at Peking University Music College (formerly the Music Institute).
As early as 1929, Chen Zhenduo participated in the "Nursing Association" of the Shanghai National Conservatory of Music and fought against the Kuomintang government. During the Anti-Japanese War, he carefully composed "Anthology of Anti-Japanese Songs", which greatly inspired the fighting spirit of the officers and soldiers of the Anti-Japanese War. He also personally participated in the anti-Japanese guerrillas. In the later period of the liberation war, the Kuomintang government attempted to escape the Nanjing National Conservatory of Music to the south. Chen Zhenduo fought tit-for-tat with the Kuomintang government as the relocation team leader, and finally moved the college to Tianjin. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, he participated in the preparation for the establishment of the Central work at the conservatory.


In the more than 50 years of teaching, he devoted himself to the education of ethnic music, and trained a large number of students of all ethnic groups with qualified ideology and academic success.
