Du Ciwen is a national first-class performer, a famous Chinese flute player, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a member of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, and a member of the China Music Copyright Association.

Du Ciwen has performed a variety of Chinese folk music on behalf of the country in five major concert halls in the world, including the Cannegie Hall in New York, the Golden Hall in Vienna, Austria, the Berlin Philharmonic in Germany, the Copenhagen Radio Concert Hall in Denmark and Sapporo in Japan. National Concert Hall. On behalf of the country, he has visited the United States, Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, Romania, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other countries and regions.

In half a century of music life, Du Ciwen has a solid foundation and learned from others' strong points. He has a deep understanding of symphony, folk music, and even popular music, and has formed a unique rigorous, accurate, affectionate and delicate style. Works such as "My Flute" and "The Sun Shines on the Pamirs" are very popular, widely circulated at home and abroad, and have been incorporated into standardized textbooks nationwide.

Du Ciwen was born in a family of literati. His extensive literary knowledge and solid basic skills enable him to have a profound understanding and expression of Chinese classical music. He has made outstanding contributions to the reform and development of "Xun". He has acted as a soloist in films such as "Burning the Old Summer Palace", "Downing the Curtains", "Erquan Reflecting the Moon", "Zhiyin", "Jiao Yulu", and in dozens of films such as "Black Button" and "Silent Glory" Composer and conductor in TV films.

Du Ciwen was employed by the Central Conservatory of Music and taught at the China Conservatory of Music. His disciples now play important roles in various academies at home and abroad.

In Du Ciwen's artistic career for many years, he has won various art awards at home and abroad, including the 23rd Olympic Art Festival Gold Award, the 4th World Women's Association Artist Award and the "National Day 50th Anniversary Art Performance Award" issued by the Ministry of Culture. .

Du Ciwen was listed in "Who's Who in the World" in 1999.
