Fan Linfeng started learning bamboo flute at the age of 5 with Zhu Yinzhao and Wang Guoqiang, his hometown flute teachers. In 2002, he began to learn from the famous flute player, associate professor Tang Junqiao. In 2004, he was admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School, majoring in bamboo flute.

In 2004, he participated in the "Sand Cup" National Piano Competition on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and won the sixth place in the Shanghai Division.

In 2005, she participated in the "Chinese Culture and Art Award - Wenhua Art Academy Award" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, and won the Silver Award in the Dizi Youth Group in the second National Instrumental Music Professional Competition.

In 2007, he participated in the first CCTV National Instrumental Music TV Competition and won the first place in the juvenile flute group.

In 2008, she once again participated in the "Chinese Culture and Art Award - Wenhua Art Academy Award" sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, and won the gold medal of the Dizi Junior Group in the third national instrumental music professional competition. She has represented the school many times in Chinese and foreign cultural exchange performances and has been widely praised.

In June 2006, he joined the delegation of Shanghai Music Affiliated High School to tour five cities in Germany, and in the same year, he participated in the performance of "Dazzle My Style - "Shangyin Affiliated High School Newcomers and Award-winning Students Concert" at the Shanghai Spring International Art Festival.

In July 2007, the delegation from the Affiliated High School of Music participated in the performance of "The Rhythmic Youth - The Essence of Excellent Programs of the High School Affiliated to the Nine Music Schools in China" by CCTV. As an outstanding student representative, he participated in a series of concerts for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and performed as a soloist for the 55th anniversary of the Shanghai Music High School. In the same year, he participated in the 5th annual meeting of the Bamboo Flute Professional Committee of the Chinese National Orchestra Association "Kunqu Opera Style Famous Famous Dizi Solo Concert". Play flute solo "Oasis".

From 2008 to 2009, she continuously participated in the Lantern Festival Gala of CCTV Music Channel. He also recorded the flute solo "Pamir's Spring" for CCTV's "Fenghua Chinese Music" column, which was broadcast several times across the country.
