Introduction to Hu Jiexu(dizi)Master performer,composer

Mr. Hu Jiexu is a famous bamboo flute player and composer in my country. Born in December 1931 in Yongji County, Shanxi Province. In 1948, he was admitted to the Northwest People's Military and Political University, and after graduating in 1949, he was transferred to the university's art troupe. In 1952, he was transferred to the Chengdu Military Region War Chess Song and Dance Troupe, and in 1984, he was transferred to the Chengdu Music and Dance Theater.

Mr. Hu Jiexu is not only proficient in bamboo flute, but also familiar with various Chinese wind instruments such as cucurbit flute, bawu, xun, xiao, etc. Among them, the bamboo flute playing skills are extremely superb. His performance is always full of passion, unrestrained and pungent, which is his unique artistic style. And he is good at grasping the connotation of the music and giving it a proper reflection, so that the audience is strongly infected. For this reason, his performances are not only loved by domestic audiences, but also highly appreciated by foreign friendly people. For example, when he visited Canada, Malaysia and other countries, every performance was warmly welcomed. In addition to playing, Mr. Hu Jiexu also devoted himself to creation. Therefore, for more than 40 years, he has successively created a considerable number of works of different genres. Among them, Bamboo Flute Concerto "Road of Troopers", Erhu Concerto "Stone Trench Officials", vocal music "The Thatched Cottage Is Broken by the Autumn Wind", Bamboo Flute Solo "I Am a Soldier", "The Jockey Club", "Praise for Hometown" , "The Cuckoo is Coming", "Morning Song of the Barracks", etc., have won awards in the country, the army and the provinces and cities successively. Therefore, most of his works have been published or made into audio products.

Mr. Hu Jiexu has successively published personal monographs such as "Dizi Playing Method", "Dizi Basic Skills Practice", "Selected Dizi Solo Pieces", "Music Collection", "Dizi Etude Collection" and so on.

The audio products that have been produced include: "Du Fu's Poetic Sound and Painting", "Chinese Bamboo Music", "Chinese Southwest Wind[1] Love Bamboo Flute Chapter", "Sixteen Selected Solo Pieces of Hu Jue Continued Dizi" (A, B Two soundtracks as a set) and other works of album music cassettes and CDs. Among them, "Cuckoos", "Cuckoos Are Coming", "Spring in Dai Township", "The Jockey Club" and other works have been made into CDs and published by Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Malaysia. In addition, Mr. Hu Jiexu has also written many papers, more than 100 papers have been published in journals or newspapers. Among them, articles such as "Introduction to the Method of Blowing", "From Gut to Self-accompaniment", "Some Talks about Playing the Flute", "A Trivial Talk about the Pitch of the Flute", and "From the Dead to Live" were rated as excellent papers for inclusion. into the book.

In recent years, he has done a lot of research on music and human health. He has successively created and published three qigong music album cassettes, "China Hexiangzhuang Qigong", "China's Random Dragon Yougong", and "China's Jizhi Changshou Gong". His new research results "Chinese Five Elements Music Health Care" (a set of three-sound tapes) have also been published by the People's Music Publishing House. Mr. Hu Jiexu not only created the above-mentioned Qigong music, but also wrote in-depth papers, such as "The Five Elements and the Three-point Profit and Loss Method", "Qigong Music and Musical Qigong", "Music Yin-Yang Theory" and so on.

Mr. Hu has been engaged in art for more than 40 years. He is not only conscientious and meticulous in his work, but also diligent in learning, good at exploration, and brave in innovation. In his long-term performance practice, he has explored new techniques such as "Baofeng", "self-voice accompaniment", "homonymous finger change", "gut tone" and other new techniques, which have injected new blood into the performance art of bamboo flute, enriching the Bamboo flute playing skills. He also co-developed with Mr. Yang Sheng the deep-sounding "bow flute", which won the national patent and excellent new product award. In his spare time, Mr. Hu Jiexu actively taught bamboo flute skills. For decades, he has taught a large number of students, including more than 30 overseas students who came to China. And some foreign friendly people made a special trip to China to learn flute from Mr. Hu. Mr. Hu is as active, rigorous, serious and patient in teaching as he is in other work. He not only taught the students the essentials and methods of mastering various skills of the bamboo flute, but also imparted his own experience in playing practice to the students without reservation, so that the students could master the true meaning of playing the bamboo flute.

Mr. Hu is old and strong, and in his 80s, he is still diligently cultivating the descendants of folk music. In order to carry forward folk music, in 2012, Mr. Hu Jiexu joined many well-known local performers and enthusiasts in Chengdu to register and establish the Hu Jiexu Dizi Art Center to inherit the national art.

On the evening of June 30, 2013, Mr. Hu Jiexu, a famous bamboo flute player, held the "Famous Dizi Works Concert" in the Grand Concert Hall of Sichuan Conservatory of Music. Mr. Hu himself, together with famous flute performers Zhang Weiliang, Tang Junqiao, Ma Di, Chen Hongyan, Yi Jiayi and other performers, performed works such as "Love in Sun Moon Lake", "Fate of Immortals", "Hometown Flowers" and other works. The flute sound at the concert was sometimes melodious and melodious, sometimes bold and convoluted, and the audience was mesmerized by it. At the end of each song, there was thunderous applause and cheers. This is a rare artistic feast.

Hu Lao, who has been focusing on creating and cultivating talents in recent years, has not hosted a concert in his own name for a long time. This event has received keen attention from flute friends and art lovers all over the country. In the concert, there are not only wonderful performances by famous performers from all over the country and in Sichuan. The 82-year-old Hu Lao, who is also young, took to the stage to perform in person. The song "Spring in Liangshan" moved the audience and the applause continued for a long time.

The finale of the concert was the classic masterpiece "I Am a Soldier" performed by Mr. Hu Jiexu with three generations of his descendants and his disciples. The famous performer Tang Junqiao said on his Weibo: The 82-year-old old man's song "I Am a Soldier" played the song "I Am a Soldier" and I didn't feel tears welling up... The famous military bamboo flute song that has been popular for more than half a century is also me. The first solo piece he learned after he started learning the flute at the age of seven.
