Huang Haihuai, born in Pingxiang, Jiangxi in 1935, is a famous Chinese musician, erhu player and composer.
Huang Haihuai has been fond of drama since he was 5 years old, especially obsessed with music. He often goes to the theater to watch dramas, listen to music, and learn huqin. If you meet a fortune-teller who plays erhu on the street, he will follow him.
In 1955, Huang Haihuai was admitted to the Central South Music College (now Wuhan Conservatory of Music), and after graduation, he stayed at the school to teach and trained many erhu musicians.
At the "Yangcheng Music Flower Festival" in 1962, Huang Haihuai was cordially received by Vice Premier Chen Yi of the State Council. He is often proud of this, and he has devoted himself to the music business with all his ingenuity. Huang Haihuai's artistic creativity is more directly reflected in his masterpieces "Horse Racing" and "River Water". In 1964, the Shanghai CulturalPublishing House released the scores of "Horse Racing" and "Jianghe Water".
