He began to learn zheng in 1976, and was admitted to the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1978. He studied under Li Wanfen, Cao Zheng, Xiang Sihua, Zhang Yan, He Baoquan and other famous masters, and went deep into the folk. happy. In 1987, he obtained a Master of Arts degree from the Central Conservatory of Music.
He is currently the master tutor of the Central Conservatory of Music, the director of the second division of plucking teaching and research in the Department of Folk Music, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a director of the East Guzheng Research Association, and an editorial board member of the publication "Chinese Guzheng Art".
He has visited many countries and regions and held many solo concerts at home and abroad. He was awarded the "Gardener Award" by the Ministry of Culture. In 1998, he was awarded the title of "Beijing Outstanding Young Backbone Teacher" and trained many outstanding young guzheng players.
