Mr. Li Zhen is not only outstanding in flute performance and repertoire creation, but also spares no effort in the research and improvement of musical instruments, and has made a lot of achievements. As early as 1976, he successfully tried and promoted the use of Yunnan Hani musical instrument "Bawu" to play Mongolian music; in the early 1980s, he developed a traditional six-tone hole bamboo flute to extend seven tones (pure fifth) The fingering method makes the usable sound range reach three octaves (for the fingering, please refer to the second issue of "Chinese Music" in 1987, page 48); In addition to retaining the traditional tone of bamboo flute, the flute body and the low-single big flute series made of the same material are sturdy and not cracked, with good sound quality, but are sensitive and excellent in pitch, which has successfully solved the problem of the current flute industry. The problem of dry and cracked brain has won rave reviews among peers, and thus won the first prize of Inner Mongolia Culture and Science and Technology Progress Award in 1991 and a Chinese national patent. Due to Mr. Li Zhen's combination of virtue and art, passion for teaching flute skills and careful mentioning, he has cultivated many outstanding children, among whom he may have become the backbone of outstanding achievements in the music industry, or be rated as having unlimited potential. A rookie in the music world, Mr. Li Zhen has contributed greatly to his efforts and achievements for the inheritance of Chinese music.
