Liu Hanli, born on January 16, 1956 in Changchun, Jilin Province, graduated from the Folk Music Department of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, dulcimer performer and folk music composer.
He comes from an educational family. He loves music since childhood and studied in Fushun Normal Primary School, Beitai Primary School and City No. 2 Middle School. Having studied bamboo flute, erhu, and trumpet, he is the backbone of the school's literature and art. After graduating from middle school in 1971, he worked in Fushun Excavator Factory and studied dulcimer in his spare time. In 1974, he was admitted to the Liaoning Song and Dance Troupe. In October of the same year, he was admitted to the Folk Music Department of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He graduated with honors in 1977 and stayed on to teach. In 1983, he studied composition Two years of theory and command.
In August 1993, he was promoted to associate professor exceptionally.
In 1981, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Performer of Young National Instrumental Music of Liaoning Province".
In 1982, in Jinan, Shandong Province, he was awarded the "Excellent Performance Award" (first prize) at the National National Instrumental Music Solo Observation Conference (Northern Film) by the Central Ministry of Culture.
In 1985, Hong Kong Art Sound Records published the dulcimer solo album "Mulan Ci".
In 1989, he won the "Outstanding Literature and Art Achievement Award" from the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. In June 1991, he visited Japan with the Music and Dance Troupe of Shenyang Conservatory of Music to perform "Sakura", and "Okayama Shimbun" introduced the grand occasion of the performance. On November 20 of the same year, the Liaoning People's Broadcasting Station broadcasted the music special "Jade falling on a golden plate, sound of love".
In 1992, he visited Thailand and Japan to perform.
In 1993, he was sent to the Shangri-La Hotel, Thailand to perform for one year.
In 1994, he was invited to visit Japan again and went to Hong Kong to teach and perform.
In October 1999, he was invited to Sapporo, Japan to participate in a special folk concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Published articles "The Present and Past of Liaoning National Instrumental Music Performance Art" and "Songs in My Heart" ("Music Language" published by the Liaoning Music Association), and wrote "Northeast Yangqin "Yang, Kneading, Slipping, and Three Steps Teaching", "Northeast "The Formation and Development of Dulcimer School" and "Ten Principles of Children's Folk Music Training Imagery". The biography has been collected into books such as "The List of Chinese Musicians", "Biographies of Chinese Artists", "Who's Who in Chinese Contemporary Art" and so on.
