Art style
The works he plays are pure, round, pure and sweet in tone, delicate in performance, and especially in control of breath. And can freely use vibrato, tremolo, calendar, beat and other retouching tunes. He has created flute pieces such as "Present and Past", "Good News", "Jiang Nanchun", "A Lesson at Construction Site" and "On the Training Ground". ", etc., have become the repertoire of Dizi. No matter in the field of flute playing or in the entire Chinese music industry, it has a pivotal position. Over half a century of flute teaching career and artistic practice, it has formed its unique genre model. The subtlety of the air, the subtlety of the fingering, and the rich timbre of his performance are widely respected by domestic and foreign music circles and bosom friends, especially in Jiangnan Sizhu.
Lu Chunling's unique style of flute art, he was greatly influenced by Kunqu Opera, and emphasized "the qi sinks into the dantian". The method of this kind of luck is that the breath relies on the strong support of the abdominal muscles and psoas muscles, so that the size of the breath can be controlled freely when playing. In addition to luck, he also pays special attention to using the upper thumb to push inward and the lower thumb to push outward to maintain the balance of the flute body, and to coordinate the distance of the damper, the tightness of the tone and the contrast of strength. Because of this, the sound he blows is beautiful and mellow, firm and full, strong but not impetuous, weak but not empty.
Secondly, Lu Chunling often uses the second overtone (that is, the twelve-degree superfluid) which is not used by others in the music he arranges and creates. Because the second overtone is played on the flute, the membrane of the flute hardly vibrates. At this time, the sound of the flute is not only pure, but also the volume is small, which is very easy to express a quiet atmosphere. In addition, in the fingering skills of decorative melody, Lu Chunling used the donated sounds and beats that are commonly used in Jiangnan Sizhu to enhance the charm of music, and paid great attention to the use of small vibrato and finger tremolo. The use of small vibrato can make the music more gorgeous and lively, and make the melody more fluent. However, the time value of the small vibrato is very short, which requires the fingers to vibrate finely and evenly, which is relatively difficult. It can be seen that Lu Chunling has worked hard on finger vibrato.
An important way to beautify and retouch the sound is to use tremolo. There are two kinds of tremolo, one is gas tremolo, and the other is that when the tremolo flute is played weakly, in order to ensure the purity of the sound, it is not suitable to use gas tremolo. In order to avoid monotony, Lu Chunling often borrows tremolo to beautify the sound. In addition, finger tremolo can be used with a single finger, or with two or three, or even five or six fingers. In addition, the finger flapping method is different, and the distance between the fingers is different from the sound hole, which will cause different effects, thus enriching the music. of expressiveness. When enjoying Lu Chunling's performance; or learning the music he composed and arranged, this should be carefully appreciated.
In December 1999, he was awarded the "Senior and Active Elite Award" in Shanghai.
