Introduction to Lu Rirong(erhu)Master performer,composer,music educator Lu Rirong was born on June 1, 1933 in Jun County, Hubei, China. In 1945, he participated in literary and art work, and in 1950 he was appointed as the band of the Chinese and Chinese Art Work Troupe. Later, he was admitted to the Northwest Art Institute, where he studied erhu, and studied composition and conducting concurrently. After graduating in 1954, he stayed at the school to teach, as an erhu teacher and conductor of the folk orchestra. He has served as the director of the teaching and research office, the director of the department, and the vice president. He is currently a professor and master tutor of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, deputy director of the Ethnic Music Committee of the Chinese Musicians Association, vice president of the Chinese Ethnic Orchestra Society, president of the Shaanxi Provincial Ethnic Orchestra Society, and artistic consultant of the Shaanxi Provincial Song and Dance Theater Ethnic Symphony Orchestra. Among his students, there are famous Chinese musicians Zhao Jiping, Ji Xiping and so on.
In his artistic education career for nearly half a century, Rouge has integrated teaching, performance, creation and conducting. He has composed more than 150 erhu etudes, more than 20 solo pieces, more than 20 ensembles, plucked pieces and ethnic orchestral pieces, and more than ten treatises, making important contributions to the establishment of the "Qin School of Erhu" and "Chang'an Music School" .
His main works include: Erhu tunes "Missing Hu Diao", "Qin Opera Theme Capriccio", "Bumper Harvest", "Xintian You", "Happy Qinchuan", "Driver", "Collection of Flowers", "Lullaby", "Qujiang Yin" and so on. National chamber music trio "Outside the Great Wall", "Butterfly Loves Flowers", "Fish and Water", quintet "Seek" (Won the 3rd National Folk Music Exhibition Special Award in 1993); Presenting outstanding works), "Chang'an Society Fire" (cooperation with Zhao Jiping, won the third prize of the 3rd National Music Works National Instrumental Music in 1983). "Acacia Order" (won the 2nd National Folk Music Exhibition and Creation Award in 1991), "Celebration Overture" (cooperation with Zhang Dalong, won the second prize of Shaanxi Province Music Works in 1992, etc.).
