Lv Wencheng joined the "China Concert" in Shanghai in 1919; he was the head of the music department of the Jingwu Sports Association founded by Huo Yuanjia in the 1920s; around 1923, he toured Tianjin, Beijing and Wuhan, where he sang the Cantonese opera " In 1925, Lv Wencheng's musical creation entered its heyday; in the 1930s, Lv Wencheng replaced the outer strings of the erhu with steel strings. , and adopted the playing method of the two legs clipping the piano barrel, and successfully made a gaohu.

Lv Wencheng suffered hardships in his childhood. His father was a baker, and he himself worked as a child laborer in a silverware shop when he was very young. During child labor, various Cantonese operas and Cantonese operas were often performed in nearby teahouses. Lu Wencheng fell in love with Cantonese opera since he was a child, and thus completed his musical enlightenment.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there were frequent music activities in Shanghai, and Lu Wencheng had the opportunity to learn music. He received the influence of Lingnan culture, especially Cantonese music, from the Cantonese in Shanghai. He also received the influence of Jiangnan Sizhu and Western music. When he was studying, he had already heard Lu Wencheng playing the erhu. There were many music clubs in Shanghai at that time, and Lu Wencheng deliberately chose to work as a handyman in a large-scale Cantonese music class. In 1909, the 11-year-old Lu Wencheng entered the Guangzhao Yixue School, which was run by the Guangdong Association of Hometowns, and was a student of Yang Xinlun, who later became a dulcimer master.
In 1919, at the age of 21, Lv Wencheng joined the Shanghai "China Concert" (one of the earliest folk music organizations in modern China), and soon he also served as the director of the Shanghai Music Section of the society.
In the 1920s, Lu Wencheng was the head of the music department of the Jingwu Sports Association founded by Huo Yuanjia. Around 1923, Lu Wencheng and his colleagues from the China Concert and the Jingwu Sports Association went to Tianjin, Beijing and Wuhan to perform on tour. Cantonese music was inserted between the martial arts performances. Lu Wencheng sang the Cantonese songs "Swallow House" and "Xiaoxiang Qin Resentment" solo, and performed the erhu song "Liu Yaojin".
In 1925, Hong Kong Zhongsheng Charity Society invited Lu Wencheng to Hong Kong to participate in the Dongjiang Disaster Relief Benefit Performance. The Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of Commerce also held a grand welcome banquet for Lu Wencheng. After visiting Hong Kong and returning to Shanghai, Lu Wencheng's music creation entered its heyday.
In 1926, he participated in the performances organized by the Jingwu Sports Association to travel to Beijing, Tianjin and Wuhan. In addition to the accompaniment of sports dance music and the performance of "Little Taojiang", "To Spring Thunder", "Liu Yaojin" and other songs, he also played by himself. He sang "Swallow Tower", "Xiaoxiang Qin Resentment" and other Cantonese operas created by him. Because of his clear and pleasant voice, his melodious style, firm and clear articulation, his unique style and his own style, it is refreshing and well-known in the art world. During his stay in Shanghai, Lu Wencheng often performed with Professor Ou Xian of Jingwu Sports Association and violinist Situ Mengyan, and learned violin and Western music theory from Situ Mengyan.
In 1932, Lu Wencheng moved south to Hong Kong and lived with Shao Tiehong in a house on Caine Road, Hong Kong, where they studied music together, and engaged in recording and performance activities with musicians from Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other places. Lu Wencheng was hired as a permanent artist by the Hong Kong "Crescent Moon", "Harmony" and "Golin" record companies. He has long been engaged in the production of algae Cantonese music, Cantonese opera records and music composition. He has written a large number of anti-Japanese works, inspiring people's patriotic enthusiasm and resistance. Enemy fighting spirit. During this period, he composed anti-Japanese music such as "Weeping the Great Wall", "Sakura Falling", "Send the Conscript", "Battle of Taierzhuang", "Hate the East Emperor" and so on. After the fall of Hong Kong, Lu Wencheng was scattered in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau and towns in the Pearl River Delta. He performed "Breaking the Array", "Triumph" and "Qi Shan Feng" everywhere to inspire the people, and recorded them into records. In 1933, the Sanjiang flood in Guangdong, he actively participated in the disaster relief charity performance organized by Hong Kong Zhongsheng Charity Society. Since then, Lu Wencheng has performed with Yin Zizhong and He Dasha many times in Zhongshan, Taishan, Guangzhou and other places.
In 1944, Lu Wencheng returned to Zhongshan for the first time, and he performed jointly with Yin Zizhong, He Dasha and Cheng Yuewei. In 1947 and 1951, Lv Wencheng returned to his hometown to perform twice. In the last performance, he presented the stringed piano score to the local "Xiaoya Shanfang" music club, and instructed them to "don't lose the skills, and teach them to the local music club." The next generation." When the Guangdong Folk Music Troupe was established in 1958, he wanted to invite him back to Guangzhou to work. He really wanted to come, but in the end he shied away because he owed the boss too much money.
In 1973, the 75-year-old Lu Wencheng visited Beijing and Guangzhou with a delegation from the Hong Kong literary and art circles. He also proposed to write some songs for China. In 1981, Lu Wencheng died in Hong Kong.
