Introduction to Lu Xiaozi(guqin)Master performer,music educator

Lu Xiaozi is a young guqin teacher of the Folk Music Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music; executive director of Guqin Professional Committee of China National Orchestra Society; secretary general of Shanghai Guqin Research Association; deputy head of Lingran Yinsheng Guqin Orchestra of Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Lu Xiaozi was admitted to the Primary School Attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1999 with a major in guzheng. She was enlightened in guzheng by teacher Wang Jinjin, and later taught by professor Sun Wenyan. Since 2000, she has been taught by famous guzheng performer, professor Wang Wei. Since 2003, he has been learning Guqin from Professor Dai Xiaolian, a famous Guqin player of the Guangling School. In 2008, he was admitted to the Department of Folk Music of Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a double major in Guqin and Guzheng. In 2016, he graduated with a master's degree in Guqin Art. During his studies, he participated in the study of famous piano players such as Lin Youren, Cheng Gongliang and Zeng Chengwei.

In recent years, Lu Xiaozi has been active in domestic and international music stages as a soloist. In 2010, he performed Guqin solo in the "Wuxia Trilogy - Hero Concerto" for Tan Dun, which premiered at the Krakow Music Festival in Poland, and then toured around the world. In November 2020, "Shanshui China - Traditional and Contemporary Works of the Guangling School · Lu Xiaozi Special Concert" was held in the Performance Hall of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. In June 2019, he participated in the "Marta Argerich Festival and Friends" concert of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra in Germany. In 2017 and 2018, he held several solo concerts at Shanghai Oriental Art Center. Since 2018, he has participated in more than ten concerts of "Listening to Qin Shuo - Guqin Tells Chinese Stories". Since 2016, he has participated in the "Knowing by Looks - Fang Qiong's Ancient Poems and Songs Concert" as a Guqin and Guzheng player. So far, he has premiered a number of new works of contemporary guqin, such as: "Ink and Wash", "Ground Tower Fu", "Heart Sounds", "Heart Sounds II", "Wu Nong Soft Talk", "Pingchi", "Cun Snow" Sitting at Night", "Eight Wilderness in Autumn Waters", "Autumn Mountains Evening Green", "Clear and Light", "Peony Pavilion", "Liangzhou·Pour Cup", "Yangzhou Slow" and so on.

In 2016, she won the first place in the first "Dunhuang Cup" Chinese Guqin Art Exhibition Professional Youth Group A Gold Award. In 2015, his personal Guqin CD album "Heart Sounds" was published. In 2021, "Xiaokan Qinxiao - Lu Xiaozi and Wang Junkan Qinxiao Traditional and Contemporary Works Album" will be published. He also played Guqin and Guzheng for Zhang Jun's new Kunqu Opera album "Water Mill New Tunes".
