Luo Jing, a guzheng soloist, released her first solo album "Luo Jing Guzheng Performance Album" in 1992. Currently teaching at the Department of Music of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Luo Jing started learning guzheng at the age of 10, under the tutelage of famous guzheng educators and performers He Baoquan and Sun Wenyan. In 1986, he was admitted to the High School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and was later promoted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Under the strict guidance of famous teachers, she worked hard and graduated early with honors in 1995. He also received a bachelor's degree and entered the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra as a guzheng solo performer. He joined the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in 2002 and has taught at the Department of Music of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts since 2003.
After long-term careful cultivation by famous teachers, coupled with Luo Jing's intelligence and diligence, she has comprehensively and solidly mastered the guzheng playing techniques and is proficient in major traditional zheng schools. Weak, beautiful but not charming, elegant but not thin, ethereal but not illusory; showing a quiet and leisurely, fresh and elegant artistic style.
She has won many awards. In 1989, she won the first place in the junior professional group of the ART Cup China Musical Instrument International Competition. Since 1993, she has participated in the "Shanghai Spring" exhibition for four consecutive times and won the "Music Performance Award". In 1995, he won the second prize in the youth group in the "Oriental Cup" National Guzheng Performance Competition hosted by the Ministry of Culture. He has visited Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, the United States, Malaysia, Hong Kong and other places successively. In 1999, she was invited to hold a solo guzheng recital at Carnegie Hall in the United States. Her soft and beautiful tones, diverse playing styles and unique musical handling were unanimously praised by music experts. In 2000, he participated in the 14th Macao Art Festival, and in 2001, he went to the Vienna Golden Hall Spring Festival Concert, as a guzheng soloist, and visited Germany, Austria, Macao and other places. She has also collaborated with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera House and other symphony orchestras.
In 1992, he released his first solo album "Luo Jing Guzheng Performance Album", among which the first recordings "Jasmine Fragrance" and "Sister Song" were well received. In the same year, he was invited to re-perform "Lin'an Regret" and "Liang Zhu" with guzheng, and recorded with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra concerto. In 2001, he premiered Guzheng and the band "Shan Shui". In 2006, he premiered Guzheng and Dizi Double Concerto "Peony Pavilion" at the Hong Kong Guzheng Festival. In addition, more than ten guzheng albums such as "Liuyang River", "Hengchun Farming Song" and "Chuanjiang Love" have been recorded. Her name has been included in "Who's Who in Chinese Literature and Art in the World".
Luo Jing's playing timbre is rich and beautiful, the melody is smooth, the charm is rich, the music processing is delicate and immersive, and the guzheng skills are very familiar and easy to use; he is a promising guzheng player.
