Introduction to Qiu Ji(guzheng)Master performer

Qiu Ji, a native of Chengdu, Sichuan, is a guzheng player. Master of Zheng performance and education, associate professor and postgraduate tutor of Chinese Music Department of China Conservatory of Music.

In 1997, the first solo album "Qianzhong Fu" was recorded and published by Hong Kong Hugo Records.

In 1998, he held his first solo recital "In Memory of Mr. Qiu Dacheng" at the Beijing Concert Hall.

In 2000, he held the "Shu Lai - Qiu Ji Guzheng Solo Concert" for the first time in his hometown Chengdu.

In 2001, four solo albums "Shu Lai - Qiu Dacheng and Xu Xiaolin's Works Collection" were released. The special school seized the first prize for outstanding teaching achievements in Beijing.

In May 2001, he held a master's graduation concert in Beijing Concert Hall: "Silent Rhythm - Qiu Ji's Guzheng Solo Concert"; in June of the same year, he received a master's degree with the thesis "On the Classification and Evolution of Zheng Techniques".

In 2003, in order to explore the development path based on Chinese music, Qiu Ji joined the "Five Elements", a world music band composed of Chinese and German musicians. Made useful explorations and attempts in the rhythm and improvisation of the zheng.

In July 2003, "Five Elements" held special concerts in Nuremberg and Slovenia, Germany.

In October 2003, "Five Elements" held its first domestic special concert in Fuzhou.

In October 2004, "Five Elements" was invited as the only band playing Chinese music

Participated in the German WOMEX World Music Festival and gained widespread attention in the world music circle.

In 2005, Qiu Ji collaborated with German composer and music producer Robert Zollitsch to publish the album "Autumn Says...". It was hailed by critics as "the best new music album in recent years".

In 2006, I felt the common problems in the teaching of zheng music at this stage, and published the paper "Reduce the complex and simplify, and unify all methods - On the basic playing form of zheng". (Chinese Music 2006.3)

In 2007, the textbook and CD of "Guzheng Classics and Famous Songs" were published.

The 2009 adaptation of the folk chamber music "Spring River, Flowers and Moonlight Night" premiered at the Beijing Concert Hall in October.

Since 2001: He has held solo concerts in Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Luoyang and other places successively; his performances have been performed in dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, in Vienna Golden Hall, British Elizabeth Royal Concert Hall, Singapore Victoria Concert Hall, French Music City, Amsterdam Concert Hall, Luzern Concert Hall, Luxembourg Concert Hall, Nuremberg Concert Hall, Milan Verdi Concert Hall, Cairo National Opera House, Alexander State Opera House and other world-renowned music halls perform classical and modern zheng music work.
