Shi Jian, a young contemporary Chinese guzheng player, holds a master's degree in guzheng from Nanjing University of the Arts.

Born in Nanjing on May 29, 1983, he studied zheng at the age of 5, and studied under Professor Yan Aihua, a famous Chinese guzheng performer and educator since the age of 8. He has won many awards, and in 1996, he was awarded the 10th grade of guzheng by Jiangsu Musicians Association and Nanjing University of the Arts. Grading certificate, and at the same time won the third prize in the youth group of the China "Jianye Cup" Guzheng Invitational Competition. In 2005, he won the first prize in the musical instrument group of the Jiangsu Province Instrumental Music, Painting and Calligraphy, Models, Singers, and Performing Arts Competitions, and participated in the recording of Jiangsu TV stations.

In 2001, he was admitted to the Music Performance Guzheng major of the Philharmonic College of Nanjing University of the Arts with excellent results. Nanjing Ye Deming Art Education Center, 10 students passed the 4-6 exam in August, and participated in the performance of the International Guzheng Art Seminar in Nanjing, China. In the first half of 2003, students participated in the Nanjing Guzheng Competition and won the second prize. The best style award in Nanjing in the National Style Competition for Primary and Middle School Students. In 2008, he joined the Nanjing Guzheng Association as one of the directors, and participated in various competitions and performances held by the Nanjing Guzheng Association for many times.

In July 2009, he graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in the direction of Chinese musical instrument performance and teaching, and obtained a master's degree in Guzheng. He is also the first male student to graduate with a master's degree in guzheng since the founding of Nanjing University of the Arts.

In 2009, he represented the director of the Guzheng Association and led a group of teachers to perform the "Horse Racing" trio in the Great Hall of the People in Nanjing, and received unanimous praise.

After graduation, he will pursue a doctoral degree in Chinese traditional music aesthetics
