Shi Lei, a native of Shaanxi, holds a master's degree in bamboo flute, a professional teacher of bamboo flute in Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the title of outstanding teacher, a member of the Chinese Flute Culture Research Institute, and a director of the bamboo flute professional committee of the Chinese National Orchestra Society.
Years of study and research have gradually formed a personal performance style that is enthusiastic, unrestrained, melodious and full of strong singing; participated in the recording of more than 200 folk music albums, song albums, film and TV episodes, cartoon music, dance music, etc. Including the songs "Girl I Love You", "Aegean Sea", dance music "Auspicious Heaven and Earth" animation music "Qin Shi Ming Yue", game music "Fairy Lovers", "Fairy World", movies "Moss", "Small Town Sunshine" The music composed and adapted include the bamboo flute solos "Shadow of Witty", "Lonely Smoke Straight", "A Dream of the Day After Tomorrow", "Qiu Se", the xun solos "Chun Xu", "Hope to Return", Folk music quartet "Yangguan Song", Guzheng solo "Guanzhong Wang", etc. He has visited Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, Macao and other countries and regions for many times. Solo and ensemble concerts have been held several times in well-known music halls such as Sydney Opera House, National Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Yuen Long Theatre, Shanghai Concert Hall and Jiaozi Concert Hall. He has served as a judge for many competitions such as "Star Torch", "Hong Kong Arts Festival" and "Art China".
He has successively won the Bronze Award in the Instrumental Music Youth Group of the Shaanxi Provincial Artistic Talent Selection Competition, the first prize in the Adult Group of the first "Poverty Alleviation Cup" Instrumental Music Competition, and the top ten national flute majors in the 7th Chinese Music "Golden Bell Award". In 2009, he was invited to Hong Kong, China as a judge of the "First International Chinese Bamboo Flute Invitational Competition", and performed at the Yuen Long Theatre in Hong Kong together with many famous artists such as Lu Chunling, Wang Tiechui, Lin Keren, Jiang Guoji, Zhan Yongming, Chen Huilong, Zheng Jimin, Yu Zhanyou, Du Rusong, etc. In 2007, he was awarded the title of "Excellent University Graduate of Sichuan Province"; in 2010, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Teacher of Sichuan Conservatory of Music", "Advanced Individual of Sichuan Conservatory of Music" and "China's Most Charming Young Dizi Player"; published in 2011 Personal album DVD "The Flute of the Visual Dimension".
