Tang Liangxing, a pipa player, is from Shanghai. He began to learn Pipa at the age of 13, and later was admitted to the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra Academy. He successively studied under Ma Linsheng, Sun Yude, Ma Shenglong, Wei Zhongle, Li Tingsong, Zhang Zhiqian, etc. He is good at playing "House of Flying Daggers", "Big Waves Washing the Sand", "Song on the Plug", etc. He first played the pipa concerto "Mulan".
He began to learn Pipa at the age of 13, and later was admitted to the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra Academy. He successively studied under Ma Linsheng, Sun Yude, Ma Shenglong, Wei Zhongle, Li Tingsong, Zhang Zhiqian, etc.
Since 1963, he has been a pipa player of the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra and a pipa soloist of the Shanghai Orchestra. He has visited and performed in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Switzerland and other countries.
In 1981, at the invitation of the Hong Kong Red Light Chinese Orchestra, he held a successful solo concert with Lu Chunling in Hong Kong.
The performance pays attention to the momentum, the strength is full, and it is good at exerting the connotation of the music and has a strong expressive force.
He was once known as one of the two famous masters of "South Tang (Tang Liangxing) and Bei Liu (Liu Dehai)" in the pipa world.
