Tu Chuanyao, native of Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province, was born on December 28, 1940 in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province Song and Dance Theater, a national first-class "top" performer, a member of the Communist Party of China, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, and an executive director of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, Jiangxi Province. At the age of eight, he learned to play the flute from a folk artist. At the age of 11, he performed on the stage and won the first prize in the Jiangxi Provincial Primary and Secondary School Art Show. Touring performances in industrial and mining places. Later, he studied under the famous flute master Feng Zicun and Zhao Songting.

For more than 40 years, he has studied dizi skills and music theory assiduously. He has a solid foundation and is good at learning from a wide range of skills, and has fully mastered the playing skills of the flute. He has also written a lot of instrumental music, such as the flute music "Cultivation in Spring", "Spring Green Ganjiang River", "Poyang Fisherman's Song", "Nan Ci", "Cow Song", and seven pieces of silk and bamboo music "The Hillside Sheep" and "The Miner's Song", which were successively recorded by China Records The company recorded it into records. Many works were recorded on the Central People's Broadcasting Station and Jiangxi People's Broadcasting Station. "Poyang Fisherman's Song", "Southern Ci", "Cow Song", "Communist Chairman Mao Enbitian Gao" and "Spring Green Ganjiang River" were made The TV film is broadcast to the whole country by CCTV. The flute songs "Spring Green Ganjiang", "Southern Ci", "The Road to Grain Delivery", "Cow Song", "Lengyue" and so on. In the first Jiangnan Sizhu Music Creation and Performance Competition at home and abroad, "The Hillside Sheep" won the creation and performance awards. For more than 40 years, everyone has participated in various literary and art competitions in the province and across the country. Dizi songs "Poyang Fisherman's Song" and "Nan Ci" were included in the "Chinese Bamboo Flute Encyclopedia Soundtrack" by China Record Shanghai Company. When visiting Yugoslavia in November 1986, foreign friends praised him: "In Chinese words: Tu Chuanyao's flute is perfect, and he really deserves to be an excellent performer."

Since 1960, he has been teaching flute concurrently. In the teaching process of more than 40 years, students of different ages and cultural levels have different teaching methods and have obtained rich teaching experience. Some students have been admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Xi'an Conservatory of Music, Wuhan Conservatory of Music and other art colleges inside and outside the province. It has also trained many college students majoring in bamboo flute for universities and colleges in Jiangxi. Some students have won prizes in the "National Youth National Instrumental Music Solo and Ensemble Competition". Some students travel abroad with the art troupe as flute soloists and win glory for the country.

On September 13, 2000, he was also assigned by the Ministry of Culture to visit six African countries as a flute soloist and won the honor.
