Yang Yumeng is a graduate student of Pipa at the China Conservatory of Music, a member of the Yang Jing Pipa Chamber Orchestra, and the winner of the highest award of the "Wenhua Art School Award". In 2008, he was admitted to the High School Affiliated to the China Conservatory of Music. In 2014, he was recommended by the school as an outstanding student to be sent to the China Conservatory of Music. In 2018, he was admitted to the China Conservatory of Music with excellent results. During the school, he successively studied under Professor Ren Hong, young performer teacher Cheng Yuyu, and famous pipa performer and educator Professor Yang Jing.
In 2012, he won the highest award in the professional group of "Wenhua Art School Award";
Won the "Gold Award" in the professional youth group in the first "Yungang Cup" Instrumental Music Competition;
Twelve years old (2009) won the fourth place in the 3rd CCTV National Instrumental Music TV Competition;
In 2011, he won the "Bronze Award" in the professional group in the first "Liaoyuan International Pipa Competition";
In 2012, he won the "Bronze Award" in the first "Dunhuang Cup" Pipa Competition;
He has won many scholarships, such as "Liu Mingyuan Scholarship", "Government Scholarship", "Graduate Freshman First-Class Scholarship", "Scientific Research Practice Scholarship", etc.;
As an outstanding student representative of the High School Attached to the China Conservatory of Music, he visited the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music in Russia, and successfully held exchange lectures and solo performances;
In 2014, he won the titles of "Rookie of Chinese Music" and "Outstanding Graduate" at the China Conservatory of Music due to his outstanding performance, and performed solo at the concert of "Rookie of Chinese Music";
In 2017, he cooperated with the famous conductor Mr. Tang Muhai and co-edited "Mahler-Song of the Earth", and successfully integrated the elements of the pipa into the symphonic poems of the opera, and performed at the Kennedy Music Center in Washington, USA;
In 2017 and 2018, as a member of the Huaxia Chinese Orchestra of the China Conservatory of Music, he participated in the series tours of "Imagination·Pure Land" and "Imagination·Silk Road" respectively;
In May 2018, he joined the Tang Dynasty Ritual and Music Restoration Group to learn how to play the four-stringed pipa and the five-stringed pipa of the Tang Dynasty, and performed "Mid-Autumn Festival · Tang Music Return Concert" and "New Year's Tang Music and Dance Performance";
In June 2018, he collaborated with the famous host Hong Yun and the famous actor Du Ninglin at the "Sound China" music poetry recitation party and improvised the score;
In November 2018, he joined the Yang Jing Pipa Chamber Orchestra and participated in the "The 4th Chinese Folk Music Festival and the 3rd Strumming Music Festival", "The Voice of the Sea of Music, the Sound of Qilu - Yang Jing's Pipa Teacher and Student Concert" "Wait;
In 2019, he performed "House of Flying Daggers" solo at the "70th Anniversary Party of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and the Czech Republic", which was widely acclaimed;
In November 2019, he successfully held the solo solo concert "Yang Yumeng Pipa Master's Mid-term Concert";
He has performed with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra in the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Zhongshan Concert Hall and other places for many times, and participated in the "Olympic Forest Art Festival Large-scale Theatrical Performance", "National Day 70th Anniversary Concert", "Ode to the Great Wall Series", "Beijing Performance Night" large-scale cultural performances, etc.;
In 2020, the guitar songs "Escape Train" and "Hotel California" were adapted by pipa, which were played more than 5,000,000 times on the entire network, and received reprints and praise from dozens of famous musicians such as Laolang, Erdi, Luobin, and Chai Haiqing.
