Yao Bingyan (1921-1983) Guqin player, born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Yao Bingyan once taught himself Erhu and Sanxian. In 1944, he sent the famous guqin master Xu Yuanbai to Zhejiang to learn the qin. His playing style is beautiful in tone, steady and tranquil, containing but not revealing, vivid but not vulgar.
After moving to Shanghai, Yao Bingyan extensively sight-reads ancient musical scores, which is described as "going to 'travel' in the artistic conception of various ancient tunes", and selects repertoires from them. His repertoires during his lifetime included "You Orchid", "Guangling San", "Xuan Mo", "Encountering God in a Solitary Pavilion", "Qu Yuan Wen Ding" and so on. His translation of "Drunk Crazy" won widespread praise, and at the same time caused a sensation in the piano industry and even the music industry.
Throughout Yao Bingyan's compliments, there are more than a dozen kinds of compendiums, especially the early compendiums, especially "Magic Secret Pu" (written by Ming Zhuquan, 1425) and "Xilutang Qintong" (written by Ming Wangzhi). , 1549), etc. are the main notation books. In the decades of his career, there are more than 40 music scores that can be accurately counted, which are highly respected by the music industry. It is difficult for a professional pianist to have such a number and achievements, not to mention that he completed it in his spare time, which cannot but be said to be a miracle in the piano world.
