Introduction to Zhang Meng(guqin)Master performer

Zhang Meng, born in 1992, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music and is a young guqin player. Director of Guqin Professional Committee of China National Orchestra Association, Master of Guqin from the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music.

Since childhood, he has studied under Li Xiangting, a representative performer of Chinese guqin art and a professor at the Central Conservatory of Music. In 2014, he went to teach at the world's first music Confucius Institute - the Royal Danish Academy of Music. From 2014 to 2015, he taught and held several concerts at the National University of Milan, Italy, the Confucius Institute in Montpellier, France, the Confucius Institute in Bergen, Norway, and the Confucius Institute in Sweden. In May 2015, he was appointed as the director of Guqin Professional Committee of China National Orchestra Association. Since September 2015, he has been teaching in the Guqin Department of the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music.

Participated in many international and domestic competitions and achieved excellent results. The awards include the gold medal in the Guqin major group A in the finals of the 4th "Qingle Cup" Hong Kong International National Instrumental Music Competition, the gold award in the Guqin major university group in the finals of the National Youth Arts Festival, and the second The Silver Award in the Youth Group of Guqin Professionals at the Beijing International National Instrumental Music Competition. He was invited to be the judge of the 20th National New Talent Competition.
