Zhou Yanjia

Zhou Yanjia (June 1934-August 3, 2019), Qin Zheng educator and performer, male, Wen Xiren, Shanxi Province, Han nationality, college degree, professor. He used to be the director of the Folk Music Department of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, and is currently the vice chairman of the Guzheng Society of the Chinese Musicians Association (member) and the Guzheng Professional Committee of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, and the president of the Shaanxi Qinzheng Society.
On August 3, 2019, Zhou Yanjia died of illness in Xi'an at the age of 85.
He used to be the head of the Folk Music Department of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, and is currently the vice chairman of the Guzheng Society of the Chinese Musicians Association (member) and the Guzheng Professional Committee of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, and the president of the Shaanxi Qinzheng Society. In 1953, he was admitted to Xi'an Conservatory of Music (now the predecessor of Xi'an Conservatory of Music and the Affiliated High School), majoring in guzheng. He graduated in 1959 and stayed at the school to teach. In 1960, the Shaanxi genre "Guzheng Fans Huqu Collection" was compiled and compiled. At the National Guzheng Textbook Conference in 1961, 16 Shaanxi Zheng songs were listed as the study repertoires for guzheng majors in music art colleges. The author advocates and strives to practice the "Qinzheng Returning to Qin" activity.
More than 200 students have been trained (9 national awards and 20 provincial ranking awards). In 1982, he was awarded the "Shaanxi Provincial Model Worker Honorary Commemorative Certificate", and in 1994, he was awarded the State Council Outstanding Contribution Certificate. He has been appointed as a member of the National Guzheng Academic Conference and a judge of the competition for many times. The performance has been included in "Chinese Musician Dictionary", "Contemporary World Celebrity Biography", "Who's Who of Chinese Contemporary Artists", "Chinese Musician Biography" and so on.
