Introduction to Zhu Changyao(erhu)Master performer Zhu Changyao, born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, is an erhu player.
At the age of 7, he learned erhu performance, and at the age of 12, he entered the "Nanjing Xiaohonghua Art Troupe". In 1973, he was admitted to the Music Department of Nanjing University of the Arts with excellent grades, and was carefully nurtured by famous teachers such as An Hua, Gan Tao and Ma Youde. In 1996, Zhu Changyao was appointed as the director of Jiangsu Song and Dance Theater. On April 2, 2015, he was elected as the vice chairman of the 9th Committee of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles at the 9th Jiangsu Provincial Literary Congress and the 8th Writing Congress.

The main works he has created are: Erhu Solo "Celebrating Gongs and Drums" (in 1979, he won the second prize of creation issued by the Ministry of Culture in the "30th Anniversary of the National Day" in 1979), Erhu Solo "Jiangnan Spring" and Erhu Concerto "Fengqiao Night Park" (in 1983 won the third prize of the third National Music Works Award), national instrumental music "Su Love" (in 1991, won the first prize of the first prize of the National National Instrumental Music Works Collection Award).
The folk instrumental music performed by the Jiangsu Song and Dance Theater under the command of the National Music Institute has been edited into "Return", "Yue", "Dance", "The Essence of Chinese National Instrumental Music", etc., as well as the compositions and performances. Record companies and audio-visual publishing houses teach into laser discs and tapes for publication and distribution at home and abroad.
Zhu Changyao has visited and performed in many countries and regions for many times. As the dean and erhu solo performer, he has led the Jiangsu Folk Song and Dance Troupe to visit and perform in Japan seven times, and held the "Erhu Solo Concert" in Taiwan four times. Singapore, North Korea and other countries visited and performed.
