The shape of the 筚 is slightly smaller than that of the common 筚 of the Dai people. The upper end is closed with a bamboo joint, the middle bamboo joint is transparent, and the lower end is open.

The sound is soft and mellow. Can be used for solo entertainment or singing and dancing accompaniment. Most of the music comes from folk songs, but the musical style is very different from that of the Dai people. The tunes are: "Zai La" (folk songs) and "Jian Fu Lai" (picking cotton songs), etc. Both of these two tones have the characteristics of melodious and tactful. Among them, the two tones a and d are mostly decorated with Boeing, which makes the music more delicate and touching.
