Bo Xiaohu (pinyin: bō xiǎo hū), alias Shuangxiao and Shuangdi, is a musical instrument of the Buyi nationality.
Bo Xiaohu is two flutes with the same shape, pitch and timbre. The tube body is made of bamboo, which is made of locally grown yellow withered bamboo with thin tubes and long knots. The tube length is generally 40 cm to 50 cm, the outer diameter of the upper tube opening is 2.3 cm and the inner diameter is 1.6 cm, and the outer diameter of the lower tube opening is 1.8 cm and 1.3 cm. centimeter.
Bo Xiaohu is a folk wind instrument loved by the Buyi people, and it is mostly played for entertainment in slack farming or spare time. Often used for solo or to accompany folk songs. Solo can fully express the characteristics of Buyi folk multi-voice music.
