Juejie (pinyin: jué lì jié), alias Datitu, is a musical instrument of the Lisu nationality, which is popular in Baoshan area of Yunnan Province, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture and other areas inhabited by the Lisu nationality.
The Juejie tube body is made of bamboo, and the main and auxiliary tubes are tied side by side. The main tube is thicker and the auxiliary tube is slightly thinner, all of which are made of no-section bamboo tube. The length of the tube is about 30 cm, and the mouth at the upper end is the mouthpiece. The mouth is plugged with an oblique wooden plug, and a square pronunciation hole is opened on the back of the tube body below the oblique opening of the wooden plug. There are six (front five and one back) circular sound holes in the supervisor, and the sub-pipe does not have a sound hole, and only makes one sound. The upper and lower ends of the main and auxiliary pipes are tied with silk threads and fixed with yellow wax.
Juejie has a soft and melodious tone, and is mostly used for solo or as an accompaniment to songs and dances. It often plays folk songs, love songs and other folk songs in harmony with songs and dances. Young people often play for their own entertainment, and the music includes "Decision" and so on.
