Lerong, also known as Songkanlerong, is a unique musical instrument of Jingpo people. In Jingpo language, "le" means straight, and "velvet" means beautiful. Songkan is a place name. It is a village inhabited by Jingpo people in Myanmar, which is adjacent to Yunnan Province, my country. It is also the origin of musical instruments.
