soprano edek overview

soprano edek The high-pitched Aijie (pinyin: gāo yīn ài jié kè) is a kind of Uyghur and Uzbek bowed and stringed musical instruments, Aijie. Has a fresh, bright and rich sound.

In the early 1950s, Xinjiang Uyghur musicians cooperated with Uyghur musical instrument makers from the Urumqi Yitiboke Musical Instrument Factory, and began to reform the three-string Duolangaijie, increasing the number of main strings to four and steel wire resonance strings. Increase to 11, and delete all the resonance strings, leaving only the four main strings. After a period of practice and exploration, the reformers looked at the production experience of stringed instruments at home and abroad, retained the original national style of Dolangai Czech, enlarged the resonance box, removed the film and replaced it with a wooden panel, installed an inner film, and expanded the sound. Hole, increase the fretboard, add a meniscus seat, and finally reformed into a new type of four-string soprano Aijie.

The improved high-pitched Aijie has a wide range and a loud sound. It not only retains the sound color of the original instrument, but also has a softer and purer sound quality. The musical expression of the instrument has been greatly enriched, and it can not only play beautiful folk songs, but also dance music, title music and foreign string music with a wide range.
