Yanzhu Konghou overview

Yanzhu Konghou Yanzhu Konghou (pinyin: yàn zhù kōng hóu) is a new type of plucked stringed musical instrument. It is named after the wild goose column as a sound guide. It is another new achievement in the development of Konghou in my country after the double-row string quivering Konghou.

Zhang Kun, a senior experimenter of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, an expert in piano tuning and maintenance, and a reformer of national musical instruments, cooperated with experts in the music industry and musical instrument industry to adopt a three-dimensional double-sided pipa-shaped resonance box and a zither-shaped goose column, and borrowed the form and string array of the harp. Design, absorbing Han Qihua's "double-row string vibration" structural principle, successfully designed and produced Yanzhu Konghou, making the thousand-year-old music on the world music scene with a new look.

This kind of double-row string konghou has a lever on the upper end of the string, and the tension of the two strings is balanced, so that it emits the same sound. Under the action of the lever, it can play kneading, sliding, pressing, vibrato, etc. Sound effects, this is undoubtedly the direction and breakthrough of Konghou's reform, and it is also where it has strong vitality.

In March 1980, my country's first Yanzhu Konghou was successfully developed in Suzhou. Seventeen years later, in 1997, a popular Yanzhu Konghou with simple structure and low cost was successfully developed by the author and Zhang Kun of Shenyang Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
