2022 Shanghai Musicians Association Erhu Grading Guide

Exam purpose

Popularize art education, improve national musical literacy, standardize social erhu teaching standards, and promote the healthy development of erhu education.

Exam organization

The jury is organized by the Erhu Professional Committee of the Shanghai Musicians Association to be responsible for the review.

Exam grading

This exam is divided into 1 to 10 grades and performance grades, a total of 11 grades. In order to improve the quality of the test, candidates can freely choose the level to apply for the test under the guidance of the instructor. The performance level requires a tenth certificate to apply.

The repertoire for the grading test is selected from the Erhu Grading Composer (Revised Edition) published by Shanghai Music Publishing House in October 2020.

Exam repertoire

1. Grades 1 to 10 and performance grades are selected from the "Erhu Grading Composer" (Revised Edition) published by Shanghai Music Publishing House in October 2020. Please refer to the attachment for the track. There are 6 pieces for each level, and candidates can choose 2 pieces according to their own performance ability.

2. Requirements: Strictly follow the technical requirements of the music, ensure the accuracy and proficiency of pitch, rhythm, timbre and related skills, and pay attention to the processing and musical performance of the music.

Exam registration

1. Registration time:

June 18th 10:00 - June 28th 24:00

2. Registration method: All the exams are registered online, and candidates do not need to print the admission ticket.

1) Official website of Shanghai Musicians Association: Go to the “Homepage of Shanghai Musicians Association Official Website—Music Grading Examination—2022 Erhu” to register/log in to register for the grade examination.

2) Shanghai Musicians Association official WeChat: Follow the "Shanghai Musicians Association Grade Examination Service Account" "Music Grade Examination - Grade Exam Registration - 2022 Erhu" to register/log in to register for the grade examination.

3. This test is all conducted online, and candidates do not need to print the admission ticket.

4. Notes for registration:

1) The website will be automatically closed after the deadline for the registration of the test, and no supplementary application will be made after the deadline. Before registering, please be careful and consider carefully before deciding whether to apply for the exam. When registering, you should check the major and level you are applying for. Once the registration and payment are successful, no change or refund procedures will be processed.

2) Candidates must fill in the application information when registering, and non-Chinese candidates must fill in their passport number.

3) Fill in the contents of the registration form as required, please use a recent, frontal, 2-inch bareheaded photo, and the photo should be in jpg format as a standard digital photo of the certificate. The pixel is not less than 180*240, and below 2M.

4) Candidates' information and photos will be used as the production certificate. Please fill in carefully and carefully. It will not be changed after successful registration.

5) Candidates who hold the Shanghai Musicians Association Grade Examination Certificate, click the "Have Shanghai Musicians Association Certificate" column, and enter the tenth certificate number in the "Fill in the Music Association Certificate No." column. The applied level is automatically generated in the column.

6) Candidates who hold a non-Shanghai Musicians Association grade test certificate, click the "Have other institutions' grade test certificate" column, upload a photo of the tenth certificate as required, and complete the registration after the review (the review period is 1-2 working days) ).

Charges

Note: 1. Certificate cost and express fee will not be charged separately. (Other provinces and cities will charge an additional express fee difference of 7 yuan).

2. An additional 80 yuan per person is charged for the online grade examination service fee.

Exam time and place

All exams are conducted online. After completing the registration and payment, please download the Shanghai Music Association Examination Grade APP to conduct pre-exam simulation operations and take the official examination on time.

1. Upload time of online grade test video: 9:00 on August 16th - 17:00 on August 17th

If the exam is rescheduled due to force majeure, further notice will be given. Candidates can get the latest information through the official website and official WeChat.

Exam Notes

1. You must prepare your own piano for the grade test, and you must memorize it according to the requirements of the test grade.

2. Candidates must complete all performances within the time specified for each level. If the examiner fails to complete all the content of the level due to the reasons of the candidate, the examiner has the right to judge the test as unqualified.

3. Online candidates should download the Shanghai Music Association Examination APP by themselves, and please enter the APP to conduct pre-exam simulation and take the examination on time. The system will be automatically closed after the expiration date, and those who have not taken the examination will automatically give up. Each test taker has only 3 recording opportunities for each grade test, from which they can select a satisfactory video and upload it as a grade test video. The judges will review the video. Once the video is uploaded, it cannot be changed.

Result inquiry

The grade test results can be checked on the official website of the Shanghai Musicians Association or the official WeChat account from 10:00 on September 13.

About the certificate

The results are divided into four categories: Excellent, Good, Pass, and Fail. Those who have passed (inclusive) or above will be given the Shanghai Musicians Association’s music grading certificate and the examiner’s evaluation opinion. Those who fail the examination (unqualified) will receive the examiner’s evaluation opinion (evaluation form), so that candidates can understand their own learning through information feedback And the performance of the situation, in order to facilitate the candidates to further improve, learn and improve. Certificates and evaluation comments will be sent by China Post to the address filled in by candidates on October 15th. The recipient is the candidate's name.

Errors in certificate creation due to incorrect information filling of candidates will be borne by the candidates themselves. If candidates need to redo the certificate, they must pay an additional certificate fee of 30 yuan. If the certificate is lost, the replacement certificate is 30 yuan each.
