Yesterday, the launch of the new book "Lingnan Qin Yun - The Art of Guqin by Ou Junhong" was held at the Cultural and Art Center of Yuexiu District, Guangzhou.
In recent years, Yuexiu District has comprehensively promoted the systematic protection of intangible cultural heritage. Taking Lingnan Guqin Art, a representative project of national intangible cultural heritage as an example, in 2008, Lingnan Guqin Art was selected into the second batch of representative projects of national intangible cultural heritage. With the support of provincial, municipal and district cultural departments, the representative inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage project, Junhong, a famous Lingnan guqin master, and the protection unit have carried out a two-year rescue arrangement for the technique.
This book is a comprehensive monograph on the art of guqin in Lingnan. It is an all-round record of Ou Junhong's guqin practice and teaching in the past 50 years. The book also provides a detailed interpretation of 8 representative qin pieces of the Lingnan School. The 77-year-old Ou Junhong has learned to play the guqin since the age of 30, under the guidance of Yang Xinlun, a master of the Lingnan School of Guqin. After 47 years of artistic tempering, she has now become a famous Lingnan guqin master.
Ou Junhong expressed the hope that the book can promote the research and excavation of Lingnan guqin art by people in the industry, and leave precious documents for future generations to inherit the skills of playing, repairing and smashing the Lingnan guqin art.
