The melodious rhythm of the zheng and the sound of the zither all over the place, as a traditional Chinese musical instrument, the guzheng has always played a pivotal role. Today's exclusive interview with the famous teacher of the National Craftsman will introduce you to a guzheng teacher with both strength and beauty - Wang Yifan of the Hangzhou (Fuyang) Campus of the National Craftsman Hall.
Talking about the experience of learning the zheng, Mr. Wang said: "I passed a musical instrument store when I was a child. My mother asked me if I liked the musical instruments here. I saw the guzheng at a glance and chose it."
At that time, she was only 6 years old, and she started the road of learning zheng with the company of her mother. It has been 17 years now. Mr. Wang felt that learning the guzheng was a very happy thing when he was a child. He looked forward to going to the guzheng class on weekends. It took an hour and a half to learn. -3 hours, not going home until dark.
Hard work pays off handsomely. However, Ms. Wang said that learning the guzheng will also have an "unforgettable" experience for her. She believes that to learn anything, basic skills are very important and need more practice. I remember that my mother sat next to her with a pointer. As long as there was a problem with her hand shape, the pointer would come down.
Strict teachers produce high-level apprentices, and the high standards and strict requirements have always brought a lot of things to Mr. Wang. When she is in a bad mood, she will go to practice the piano and find some sad songs to express her negative emotions; when she encounters something particularly happy, she will also choose to practice the piano. Accompanying her for so many years, Guzheng is like a close friend of Teacher Wang, witnessing her joys and sorrows.
In addition to the guzheng, in life, Mr. Wang likes to travel and sing. She told the editor that she basically finds time every year to go to a favorite place to play and see the great rivers and mountains of the motherland.
Of course, it was also because of the guzheng that Mr. Wang met lovely children. Since teaching Guzheng, Mr. Wang has encountered many students who have transferred, because each teacher's teaching method and basic skills are different, and the level of children is also different. Teacher Wang feels that it is a particularly fulfilling thing to lead each child from incorrect or non-standard hand shapes, fingerings, and some non-standard operations to playing the piano correctly and standardly.
As a traditional Chinese national musical instrument, the guzheng has a history of more than 2,500 years. The contemporary Chinese guzheng has long been on the world stage, and it is the collective memory of our nation. "A father loves his son, he must make far-reaching plans." The nation belongs to the world, the future of Chinese music will surely fly, and guzheng learning will become the cultural atmosphere of the new era.
