Guangxi Chinese Orchestra
The Guangxi Chinese Orchestra was established in 1957 and is now affiliated to the Guangxi Symphony Orchestra, a subsidiary of the Guangxi Performing Arts Group. National Orchestra.
Taking "national characteristics" as its mission, the orchestra has independently improved many Guangxi-specific musical instruments of ethnic minorities, such as: bolie, horse bone hu, reeds and monochords, etc., and has accumulated a number of different styles, Works with certain influence both inside and outside the district, such as the ensemble "Zhuang Brocade Dedicated to Chairman Mao", the horse-bone hu ensemble "Zhuang Township Early in the Spring", and the reed solo "Dong Village Carnival Night", etc. Some of these works are specially recorded by CCTV and broadcast to the whole country, and have won various awards in the region and the country.
The orchestra participated in performances and competitions such as the musical "Liu Sanjie", which had a wide range of influence in the country in the 1960s, and the national minority instrumental music "Peacock Cup", and recorded music for many musicals, films and TV series. At the same time, it has also successfully held special ethnic concerts of different styles and forms, such as the large-scale ethnic symphonic chorus "Zhuang Poetry", the National Art Fund-funded project "Bagui Love", "Guangxi Ethnic Orchestra New Year's Concert", " The Mid-autumn Concert of Bagui, Reflecting the Mountains and Sea in the Same Moon, and a series of popular Chinese music concerts have been widely acclaimed by the society.
The orchestra has performed for party and state leaders and foreign guests many times, and has visited the United States, Russia, Australia, France, Japan, Malta, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan In other countries and regions, the performance footprints are all over the world.
In recent years, the orchestra has developed steadily in the direction of national characteristics, specialization and marketization, and has always made unremitting efforts to promote Chinese national music, Guangxi minority music, and the improvement of Guangxi characteristic musical instruments.
