Classic 947 Living Room Concert
National Orchestra and Chorus Edition
Long March Songs
At 15:00 on October 7, 2022, the classic 947 video number will broadcast "National Orchestra and Chorus Version of the Long March Suite". Wu Jian, the conductor, and Zuo Yiwei, the suona player, joined hands with more than 100 members of the Jasmine National Orchestra of the Shanghai Workers' Cultural Palace and the Shanghai Philharmonic Symphony Choir, and four hosts of Shanghai People's Radio, Ye Bo, Yang Yongqing, Yu Liya, and Ma Chen.
The concert opened with "Good News from Beijing to the Border Stronghold" and "Sing a Folk Song to the Party". Two well-known works recorded the development and changes of the times with passionate melody, and people always loved the motherland and the Party.
The song "Good News from Beijing to the Border Stronghold" uses the singing and dancing tones of the Yi and Miao nationalities to shape the music image. The artistic expression of different instruments singing and dancing to each other between the bands is derived from the local hundred operas. At the end of the music, the first theme of enthusiasm and unrestrained is reproduced with great strength. The crisp percussion music and cheerful bamboo create a scene of celebration for all the people in the country, and bring the jubilant theme into full play.
Singing a Folk Song for the Party, a version of suona and national orchestral music, was adapted by Mr. Zhang Xiaofeng, who is over 90 years old, especially for Zuo Yiwei, a suona performer. The work uses the music material of Mr. Zhu Jianer's "Sing a folk song to the Party", and combines the characteristics and skills of suona and national instruments to express his sincere feelings for the Party.
Inspired by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music's rehearsal of the New Era's Long March Songs, Zuo Yiwei came up with the idea of re arranging this classic work in the form of national orchestral music and chorus, and telling Chinese stories with Chinese instruments.
Jiangxi tea picking, Miao folk songs, Hunan flower drums, Yunnan flower lanterns, Chuanjiang chants, northern Shaanxi Yangge and other popular tunes are used in the music, and national instruments vividly shape a number of musical images.
The tenacious Red Army soldiers and their hometown "Farewell", in the two female choruses composed by the tone of the tea picking opera, expressed their reluctance to part with "men, women, old and young". Later, the sonorous and powerful music and chorus shouted people's firm belief that "revolution must win".

In "Four Crossing Chishui, A Wonderful Soldier", the cheerful and cordial tone expresses the deep feelings of the "military, civilian, fish and water family"; The second part praises "Chairman Mao's use of troops is like a god". The music sometimes expresses optimistic and proud feelings with an eager and warm syncopation rhythm and an increasingly high tone, and sometimes forms a humorous tune with a moving and percussive melody.

Chairman Mao personally commanded all armies of the Central Committee and Northern Shaanxi, and won a big battle in Zhiluo Town. The eighth movement, "Zhu Jie", describes the victory in hometown language through a Red Army soldier who has passed the test of the Long March.
Continuing the optimism of the Red Army soldiers, the humorous mixed chorus satirized the "gifts" sent by the enemy; The gradually soothing tone explained the victory process of "Chairman Mao commanded in the battlefield and captured the enemy chieftain Niu"; At last, the melody at the beginning changes and reappears, changing the beat, speeding up the speed, and pushing the warm atmosphere to a climax. The whole music uses the tones of Hunan Fishing Drum and Changsha Flower Drum Opera. The use of gongs and drums highlights the local characteristics of Hunan. The Red Army soldiers from here are always lively and interesting.
▼ Lead singer: Liang Bin
In October 1936, the First, Second and Fourth Front Armies of the Red Army and the Red Army in northern Shaanxi were in Huining Division of Gansu Province. So far, the Red Army's Long March ended with our victory and the enemy's defeat. This is a great victory for the Red Army of Workers and Peasants and the people of the whole country.
The Grand Master is an ode to this victory. With the loud and powerful suona sound in the prelude of the first song "Farewell", it leads to a vigorous and magnificent chorus introduction, and with the tone of "The Red Army is eager to embark on the journey", it leads to a magnificent and magnificent singing voice. The music melody not only shows the magnificent scene of the surging river, but also the battle scene of the golden go against the iron horse. The abstract notes play up people's emotions, and the music finally ends in the brilliant sound.
