The frame is made of mulberry wood pieces glued together and shaped, and the calf or donkey skin is used as the drum. It is one of the percussion instruments of the Twelve Muqam of Yarkand. Early spread in the Yarkand-Kashgar plain area. Navadab, with delicate rhythm and cool sound, is played with dan or double drums. It is often played at will under a basic rhythm pattern, and the technique of flipping the drums and throwing them into the air is also common. The Drum Sutra of Nawadab: When the right finger hits the edge of the drum, it is "Ta", when the left finger hits the edge of the drum, it is "Ga", and when the right finger hits the heart of the drum, it is "dong".
Nagma dap
Also called drums. The transliteration is Emandab. The shape is slightly smaller than that of Pilhundab. The frame is made of white mulberry wood glued and shaped. Mongolian donkey skin and pony skin (mostly buffalo skin or python skin today) are percussion instruments used by Uyghur, Uzbek, Kirgiz and other Turkic ethnic groups, and spread throughout the region. Nai'e Mandab, with clear rhythm and loud voice, mostly played with a single drum, often played at will under a rhythm.
Dolandap
Also known as music and dance drums. Transliteration Doran Dab. Medium dab. The frame is made of elm or sand jujube wood glued and shaped, or made of ash. Covered with goat skin and donkey skin as drums. He is one of the main accompaniment instruments of Dolansenem and Turpan "Milis". Mainly distributed in Bachu, Maigaiti-Tarim river basin towns, rural areas; Hami, Turpan area. Dolangdab has a solid rhythm and a loud sound.
