Lanzhou Taiping Drum
Since the Qing Dynasty, Taiping Drums have been circulated in the vast areas of Northeast and North China.
The shape of the Taiping drum used is similar to that of a group fan. It is made of a circular iron ring covered with donkey skin, horse skin or sheep skin. The diameter of the cross-section is 30 to 40 cm. The leather surface is smooth or painted with patterns.
