On the evening of July 12th, Countryside Fragrance - Cao School's Guzheng Art Concert and Lecture Series Public Welfare Activities ended successfully at Henan Art Center. This event was initiated by Mr. Cao Bo, the son of Mr. Cao Guifen. With the strong support of Henan Musicians Association, in order to inherit, promote and develop Henan Guzheng art, and tell the story of Henan Guzheng, Henan Musicians Association Guzheng Professional Committee joined hands with Cao Pai. The successor and disciple of Mr. Cao Guifen organized this public welfare activity.

With the unremitting efforts of Mr. Cao Dongfu, Mr. Cao Guifen and the older generation of zheng players, the Cao School of Cao School has been passed down for centuries, making it an important part of my country's zheng altar. my country's national music industry has made great contributions.

Before the concert, Mr. Cao Bo, the son of Cao Guifen, gave a lecture on the theme of "On the Main Style and Technical Characteristics of Henan Cao School Zheng Music".

The concert kicked off with Mr. Cao Guifen's main creation of one of the representative works of the Cao School of Guzheng, "Daqiban". This piece skillfully integrates the unique techniques of Cao School, such as "pressing the sound, swiping, sliding, kneading and playing" into the music. Thereby highlighting the lively and cheerful scene of the music. As the opening track, it brought a warm and exciting atmosphere to the scene, which was shocking.

Subsequently, classic pieces such as "Music in Bitterness", "Fighting Wild Goose", "Su Wu's Hometown", "Henan Qu Pai Duo", "Little Flying Dance" and "Playing the Swing" also took turns. Upstairs" and "Downstairs", the concert ended with the famous songs "High Mountains and Flowing Water" and "Lantern Festival". It is worth mentioning that in "Chen Xingyuan and Fan", Zhongzhou Zheng also appeared in ensemble with violin, cello and alto flute, which refreshed the audience.

The concert also presented the inheritance power of Henan zheng, especially the duet "Cutting Indigo Flowers" brought by the children of [Happy ZT Children's Zheng Ensemble] based on Jinshui District Art Primary School in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province and [Zhongzhou Guyun Zheng Ensemble]. Wonderful. After careful polishing by Mr. Cao Yongan, the second-generation descendant of the Cao School, and under the careful rehearsal by the famous guzheng performer and educator Du Yu and Cao Guifen's disciple Wu Lijun, the children's performances on the stage were coordinated and lively and agile. The first Henan folk music with a long history, succinct and simple tune, and soft and joyful style shows their vigor. At the same time, under the performance of the youngest generation of zheng children, people can't help feeling that there are successors in Henan zheng music, and the meaning of inheritance flows out of the tender notes.

Even under the epidemic, this event could not stop everyone's enthusiasm for this event. Many zheng colleagues came from other places to watch this music event, just to experience the purest Cao style playing techniques, which fully demonstrated the charm and value of the Cao style guzheng art.
