The Dilie is a single-reed air-sounding instrument of the Li nationality, and the Dilie has a very close relationship with the production labor of the Li family.

In the old days, whenever the rice was blooming, the flute was used to play beautiful and pleasant tunes, praying for a good weather and rain, so that the rice would ripen quickly and get a bumper harvest. When the ploughing is not finished and the rice is not heading, it is not allowed to play the flute, otherwise it will suffer from natural disasters such as wind, water, insects, and beasts.

Today, the taboos of these feudal superstitions have long been broken. The flute has become the favorite folk musical instrument of the Li people.
