② You need to know a little bit about the guqin
The top of the guqin is made of old materials such as Qingtong wood (the material is less and less), Chinese fir (mainstream), and Paulownia wood (mostly low-end pianos), and the bottom plate is mostly made of catalpa. The gray tires are made of antler cream, eight treasures gray, and tile gray. The paint materials are raw lacquer, cashew paint and chemical paint. Different materials and materials determine the quality of the guqin, and it takes 12-36 months to complete the production after one hundred and ten processes.
A good qin, good materials are the foundation, rigorous processes are the guarantee, and the craftsman's skills are the soul (the key).

From the current market price of guqin, the guqin of 4000-8000 yuan is a beginner guqin, the guqin of 8000-15000 yuan is considered a professional guqin, and the guqin of more than 15,000 yuan is the performance level. If you just buy it to play, then you don't need to refer to it, it doesn't matter how much you buy the guqin.

③Be sure to stay away from low-quality guqin
Those who enter the low-quality piano pit are often our beginners, and many of them enter the pit without knowing it, thinking that this is the case with the guqin. Once you get in touch with the real guqin, you will find that there is a world of difference in terms of weight, finish, workmanship and sound quality. (This is why it is recommended to go to a professional piano hall to have a look. Even if you don’t understand it, you can touch and compare Guqin at all levels, and you can get a rough idea of how high and low it is. It’s just that professional piano halls usually don’t have low-quality pianos, after all, low-quality pianos. The qin is useless in front of the real guqin)

④Pay attention to online piano selection
The cost of materials, labor and time for a real guqin is conceivable, plus the necessary profit margins for manufacturers (guqin is a small-production, niche musical instrument). So, don't ask about the guqin of one or two thousand or even several hundred yuan on a certain treasure! Some people say that such a guqin is "a hundred-year-old fir with lacquer to play the qin", do you believe it? You don’t need to think about the materials used for these pianos, and most of the production processes are simple and incomplete. Some of them are normal without grey tires, and many are even inaccurate.

At the same time, don't favor factory direct sales too much. It does not mean that factory direct sales are cost-effective. After all, the quality of guqin is the first. Most guqin manufacturers/qin workshops simply do not have the time and energy to do market retailing, especially online sales, and they are not good at this.

⑤ Beginners prefer brands with high recognition
The price of famous pianos is relatively high, which can only be prohibitive for most piano lovers. Even the famous producer and supervision of the piano has made too many piano friends a tight purse. For our beginners, we still choose factory qin and qinfang guqin.

Now there are more factory qin/qinfang qin, the more well-known ones are Juntianqinfang, Muyiqinfang, Dadeqinfang, Leiyinqinfang and so on. The qin workshops founded by famous masters such as Juntianfang and Leiyinqinfang, the lowest price of guqin is basically around 1.5-2W. Most of them are Tongmuqin (not supervised by famous masters) and have the characteristics of famous pianos, which is also a good choice. Among the factory pianos, the Muyi Guqin has a relatively high reputation among beginners. The price starting from 4,000 to 5,000 yuan is more friendly to piano friends, and the price-performance ratio is also very good. Dade guqin should start at a minimum of more than 10,000, and the sound, shape and rhyme are relatively good. If a beginner can afford this price, it is naturally recommended.

The overall quality of the brand guqin is reliable, but each guqin will be somewhat different, and not every guqin is perfect.
