Recently, the reporter came to a house in the south lane of Zaochunyuan, Kuiwen District, and the melodious sound of the guqin fluttered in my ears. This is the studio of Ma Rongsheng, the representative inheritor of Weifang's intangible cultural heritage Guqin crafting skills.
In the world, many seemingly accidental opportunities are inevitable. When he was a child, Ma Rongsheng once played hide-and-seek with his friends and stumbled into an abandoned house with a guqin and a flute hanging on the wall. "The guqin is covered with dust, and only one string is intact. At that time, out of curiosity, I plucked the strings and heard the most beautiful sound of the piano in my life." It was such an adventure that I loved it. Ma Rongsheng of rhythm developed a strong interest in guqin.
From listening to Guqin to dreaming of owning a Guqin, Ma Rongsheng came up with the idea of making Guqin by hand.
interest is the best teacher. In order to learn how to make guqin, Ma Rongsheng often bikes to the library in Shouguang City, 15 kilometers away from his home, to borrow books on weekends. Finally, it took half a year to make a guqin, but it was very different from the ideal effect. Ma Rongsheng deeply realized that in order to make a good guqin, he needs the guidance of famous teachers. During the summer vacation of his freshman year, Ma Rongsheng found Zhu Ziyi, chairman of the Guqin Professional Committee of the Shandong Musicians Association. He began to learn ancient music from his teacher, and then slowly tried to make guqin. In this way, it took Ma Rongsheng nearly 20 years from his childhood interest to making a guqin that he was satisfied with.
The selection of materials is the first step in making Guqin. Only when the "genes" are good can the sound of the Guqin be more pure and melodious. To this end, over the years, Ma Rongsheng went to the mountains of Anhui, Jiangxi and even Fujian to find the best wood for making Guqin.
The room for making guqin is not big, and it is filled with all kinds of guqin. The production of guqin can be roughly divided into embryo selection, bottom making, panel shape, belly making, synthesizing, audition, assembling parts, painting, stringing, etc. There are hundreds of processes. With the flying of shavings and the clanging sound of the chopping board, Ma Rongsheng began to make the top and bottom plate of the guqin. In the next room, his apprentice Jiang Yiqiang was putting gray tires on the guqin. When making a guqin, because the expansion ratio of the antler frosted gray tire and the piano body is different, it is easy to break and fall off, so a layer of linen should be added. First, use lacquer to stick the burlap to the piano body to form a lot of cavities, and the sound is more transparent. Then, it takes nearly 20 times to apply the gray tire, just like scraping putty in a new house, and repeat it after drying. Finally, after assembling parts, painting, stringing, etc., the guqin should be placed in a room with a fixed humidity and temperature to hang to dry. Because of the complicated production process, Ma Rongsheng takes at least two years to make a guqin, and it takes three or four years at most.
Such as cutting, such as learning, such as grinding, such as grinding. Being a qin is like being a man. Over the years, Ma Rongsheng has brought a total of five apprentices. Gongshangjiao Zhengyu, the ancient sound has been passed down for thousands of years. In 2015, the Weifang Guqin Training Center was established, with the main content of Guqin performance and production as the main content, actively carrying out Guqin cultural public welfare training activities, and cultivating Guqin performance and production inheritors. Up to now, 2000 people have been trained.
