In order to let young people establish the concept of protecting and inheriting intangible cultural heritage from an early age, and enhance the national pride of students, on May 27, the Dong Nationality intangible cultural heritage culture propaganda group brought the unique musical instrument of the Dong family, the Lusheng, into Wuling Middle School. The Moral Education Office of the United School launched a unique publicity and performance activity.
The Dong people enjoy playing the reeds for fun, and they are indispensable for festivals, happy events, and harvest celebrations. It is understood that in 2006, Dong Lusheng was selected into the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage lists; in 2008, it was selected into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists.
The propaganda group displayed performances of "Lunzheng", "Lenny", "Lunwo", "Lunluo" and other types of performances, and bursts of elegant Dong songs resounded through the campus. Among them, the big reeds are used to play the bass, and they are fixed on the ground when playing, standing tall and solemn; the middle and small reeds play the main melody, and the small reeds play the lead. When the large, medium and small reeds played in unison, the high and low frequencies echoed each other, with a wide range, diverse tones, and magnificent momentum, which won warm applause from the teachers and students on the scene.
In this activity, the majority of teachers and students have received the edification of art and the enjoyment of beauty. While promoting the national spirit, disseminating national characteristics, and inheriting the national culture, the teachers and students have relieved the pressure of study and work, and enriched the cultural life of the campus.
