In order to further improve the level of guzheng teaching and performance, and show the development achievements of my country's national musical instrument guzheng in recent years, the Chinese Musicians Association, the Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Propaganda Department of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China will hold a meeting from July 15 to 19, 2022. Jinan City, Shandong Province held the 2022 Chinese Music Little Golden Bell - National Guzheng Exhibition.

In order to ensure the smooth holding of this year's Little Admiralty National Guzheng Exhibition, the Shandong Province Selection Competition will be held from June 3rd to 4th.

The purpose of the selection competition

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we will fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on literary and artistic work and the spirit of his speech at the 11th Literary Congress. The latest achievements in guzheng education and performance, discover and cultivate outstanding guzheng players, provide a platform for young guzheng players to learn, communicate and display their talents, further guide the healthy and orderly development of the province's guzheng career, and promote a culturally strong province in the new era building.

2. Organization

The selection competition was co-hosted by Shandong Musicians Association and Huaiyin District People's Government, and undertaken by Shandong Musicians Association Guzheng Professional Committee, Huaiyin District Committee Propaganda Department, Huaiyin District Culture and Tourism Bureau and other units.

An Organizing Committee is set up for the selection competition, and the Organizing Committee Office is set up to be responsible for all the work during the selection competition. A jury is set up to be responsible for the review work during the selection competition.

3. Selection and grouping

1. Amateur group: amateur players in our province within the following specified age ranges are divided into three groups: Junior B, Junior A, and Children. The groups are as follows:

①Amateur Youth Group B: Players born from September 1, 2006 (inclusive) to August 31, 2009 (inclusive);

②Amateur Junior Group A: Players born from September 1, 2009 (inclusive) to August 31, 2013 (inclusive);

③Amateur children group: contestants born after September 1, 2013 (inclusive).

2. Professional group: Students in 11 affiliated high schools and primary schools of music conservatories across the country, who were born after September 1, 2004 (inclusive) and majored in guzheng performance of Shandong origin.

4. Quota allocation

1. Amateur group: Each city music association and the provincial music association Guzheng Professional Committee can submit 2 amateur players for each group, and Jinan Music Association submits 4 players for each group.

2. Professional group: Shandong players who meet the registration requirements of the professional group will directly submit to the Shandong Provincial Selection Competition Organizing Committee, and the Organizing Committee will directly organize the selection.

5. Repertoire requirements

This audition is all solo, with no accompaniment.

(5) Matters needing attention

1. All of the above prescribed pieces cannot be selected by oneself, and must be played from the beginning.

2. Must be played from memory.

3. The performance must be performed in the order of the repertoires listed in the rules. If the performance time is required by regulations, the net performance time shall not be less than the minimum time limit. If it is less than the minimum time limit, the grade will be cancelled; if the net performance time exceeds the maximum time limit, the performance will be suspended without affecting the grade.

4. Contestants can bring their own pianos for the competition, and the organizing committee will also provide the competition pianos for the contestants with the specified repertoire.

6. Selection and reward method

The selection of the amateur group of this competition will be held in Jinan. It is planned to adopt the method of on-site competition. The specific venue and schedule of the competition will be notified separately depending on the form of the epidemic and the requirements for prevention and control in early June. The selection of professional groups and the setting of awards will be determined according to the application situation.

The amateur group will set up a number of first prizes, second prizes, third prizes and excellent prizes, and the contestants will be awarded honorary certificates. The top five contestants in each group will be recommended by Shandong to participate in the 2022 Chinese Music Little Golden Bell - National Guzheng Exhibition. The instructors who won the first, second and third prizes will be awarded the title of outstanding instructor.

7. Submission method and consultation telephone number

1. Please select carefully and submit the recommended contestant registration form and other materials to the Shandong Musicians Association by mail before May 30, 2022 (subject to the local postmark) according to the allocated quota.

2. The submitted contestants need to fill in the contestant registration form (see Annexes 1 and 2, and affix the official seal of the Municipal Music Association), provide two recent 2-inch color frontal bareheaded photos, and a copy of their ID card or household registration book. The submitting unit shall submit it to the Shandong Musicians Association by mail. The submitting unit must carefully fill in the roster of Guzheng players (Appendix 3) and send it to the designated email address: shandongyinxie@126.com.

3. All contestants recommended by the Shandong Musicians Association to participate in the performance shall not abandon the competition without justifiable reasons.

8. Expenses

There is no registration fee for this trial. The transportation expenses to and from Jinan, Shandong Province and the cost of room and board during their stay in Jinan shall be borne by the contestants. The organizing committee will provide hotels with negotiated prices.

9. Others

The right to interpret this charter belongs to the Organizing Committee. Players participating in the trials are requested to strictly follow the instructions, and the organizing committee has the right to make appropriate adjustments or modifications to this notice according to the actual situation of the event.
