The Kemu people's Bi, the shape of which is the same as the Dai people's Bi, was introduced to the Kemu people's family from the Dai village.
The tube body is made of thin bamboo, about 30 cm long, and the inner diameter of the lower mouth is about 1 cm. There is a bamboo joint at the upper end, a rectangular blow hole is opened on the inner side of the proximal section, and a copper reed is installed on it. Some of the first and second holes in the tube are stuffed with thin bamboo strips, which can reduce the pitch of the second hole by a semitone and become the lowest pitch. The sounds of the five-hole Bi are listed as: g1, a1, b1, #c2, e2, #f2.
The timbre is soft and beautiful, and is often used in solo entertainment or in the love life of young men and women. The music includes "string girl tune" and so on.
