A few days ago, Ms. Liu Wanqiu, a guzheng teacher at the School of Continuing Education of the Central Conservatory of Music and a member of the Guzheng Society of the National Musicians Association, successfully held a solo recital at the Central Conservatory of Music. She also gave a special lecture on music to the students of the Conservatory of Music. From the perspective of college students, Liu Wanqiu shared her knowledge and experience of guzheng, which made the students more passionate about guzheng as their lifelong pursuit, and more confident to engage in guzheng-related industries.
Liu Wanqiu is currently a guzheng teacher at the School of Continuing Education of the Central Conservatory of Music, and a guzheng teacher at the Chongwen Children's Palace in Dongcheng District, Beijing. She graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with a master's degree in guzheng and studied under the famous guzheng educator Professor Li Meng. He has successively served as the judge of the Guzheng Group of the Central Conservatory of Music's off-campus music proficiency examination, the judge of the Central Conservatory of Music's "National Music Teacher Grade Certification" examination, the judge of the "Central Music" National Youth Art Exhibition Guzheng Group, and the senior evaluation officer of the National Primary and Secondary School Students' Artistic Quality Evaluation Project. This is the first time for Liu Wanqiu to hold a solo concert in a music and art school. It is a new experience for her, and it is an excellent opportunity for students to communicate with guzheng players at close range. She shared some of her own interesting experiences with you, and used this as an entry point to teach many practical experience and skills for her classmates. At the end of the lecture, a question-and-answer session was set up so that every student had the opportunity to share their doubts and difficulties in playing with Mr. Liu.
In the afternoon, Liu Wanqiu's master class started, and the students of the academy took to the stage to perform the class one by one. During the period, she told three students about her own understanding and handling of the music from different levels, different angles and different dimensions. Mr. Liu patiently corrected the students' playing methods, shared his understanding of music, especially his encouragement and humanistic care for the losers.
In the end, the master class ended perfectly with the warm applause of the students.
