Among the songs that can be described as "mysterious", "Shen Ren Chang" must be at the top, but many piano friends will have a question when they listen to this song for the first time: how does this song have a "Japanese flavor" "?

The scales in China are bounded by the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the past, music was a pentatonic scale, and then gradually developed into a pentatonic scale. Especially during the Cultural Revolution and even in the 1980s and 1990s, musicians at that time also had pentatonic scales when understanding and dealing with ancient music. The tendency to change, the seven-tone scale into a pentatonic scale (for example: Mr. Guan Pinghu's qin piece "Li Sao" in the fifth place changed the second-string tone to the third-string tone).

Japanese music has been influenced and developed by Chinese music since the Three Kingdoms period (including the later Tang and Song dynasties). The correct statement should be: Japanese songs have the inheritance of Chinese music.

The earliest extant record of this song appears in Han Huantan's "Xin Lun·Qin Dao", he said: "Yao Chang, from a distance, is good for the world, and the world is smooth, so it is called 'chang'".

"Shen Ren Chang" is a musical score before the Tang Dynasty, which means "God and people are happy together". Xie Xiyi's "Qin Lun" said that it was made by Emperor Yao.

So far, only two qin pieces with the theme of "Chang" have been recorded (the second is "Nanfeng Chang"). This piece is not only mysterious and more typical, most of them are pan, scattered, and pressed, and only five strings of Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng, and Yu (string names) are used, and neither of the two strings of Shao Gong Shao Shang is used. The situation of abandoning the Shao Gong Shao Shang two strings is very rare in other qin pieces, and it is precisely because of this that the music seems to be closer to the thinking of the ancients during the playing process, and has a feeling of touching the original ancient music.

Legend has it that "Shen Ren Chang" is a song composed by the gods in a dream to Emperor Yao to indicate that there will be a flood and to sacrifice to the gods.

The song depicts the Yao, Shun, and Yu eras with a "semi-legendary" nature during the formation of the Chinese nation. At that time, it was the spirit of the Chinese nation that nurtured, respecting the wisdom of heaven and earth, respecting the laws of nature, industriousness, ability, tenacity and bravery. The mellow quality is the background color of the Chinese nation. Therefore, the music is simple and natural, ancient and vigorous, with rough tone and sonorous rhythm. The meaning of the song expresses the communication between man and God; the overtones are ethereal and ethereal, with a sense of solemnity and mystery of the gods; A sense of shock and devotion.

In addition, the song "Shen Ren Chang" expresses people's reverence for ancestors and sages and their longing for a better life. In 2003, when the Ministry of Culture organized the application for Guqin to be selected as the material of the world's "Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity", it introduced "Shen Ren Chang" in a relatively large space, and the main content was based on the research results of Guqin master Ding Chengyun.
