Poetry at the beginning of its birth is a beating note, flowing between heaven and earth. When the Book of Songs is reunited with the music at the moment, when the guzheng tells the feelings hidden in the words one by one, what kind of heart throb will be aroused by the music and the ethereal singing of the player?
On November 27, Chang Jing, a renowned guzheng player known as the "fairy of the Guzheng", and Zhang Di, a dizi player and member of the Fairy music troupe, visited the Daiguan (Liangzhu Culture and Art Center) and replayed the painting of the Book of Songs with music as paper and sound as ink.
In addition, Yu Zhenhong, the keynote speaker of the 10-lecture series of the Book of Songs, will also be present to share the deep meaning of the text of the Book of Songs and the impact of the music of the Book of Songs on him with his unique style of melancholy humor.
In 2008, the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games "Spring River Flower Moon Night" solo, in 2013 CCTV Spring Festival Gala co-performed "Harmony of the Qin Zheng" with Yani, Thailand princess permanent royal guzheng teacher, Zhang Yimou's film Under the Hawthorn Tree, Wong Kar-wai's film "Ashes of Time Final Edition" music lead...... These are the aura of Chang Jing's past, but she herself does not regard these as her own crown, but the traces left by her searching for individual voice.
In the interview, Chang Jing once said that music for her, like air, diffuse around, like a person's breath, existing in the body. In order to express her voice, she keeps trying the combination of different instruments, cooperating with musicians of different styles and cultural backgrounds such as rock, jazz and the new century, and trying to express more contemporary guzheng. In the process of seeking outward, she gets extremely rich satisfaction.
The past decade has been a journey of returning to the original, and Chang Jing began to look back. She integrates ethereal singing and improvisational sparks into her guzheng playing, returning to the roots of classical and her own culture, and trying to explore the sounds engraved in the national genes.
Chang Jing and Zhang Di presented the Book of Songs with ethereal and beautiful music. We enjoyed the performance and singing of the mixed Eastern and Western instruments together.
