On August 17, the reporter learned from Shanghai Customs that recently, the customs officers of Shanghai Pudong International Airport seized one erhu involving endangered Burmese python leather qin, drum and skin in the imported express. The declared product name of this batch of shipments is "Erhu", the skin of the drum has a snake skin pattern, and the surface of the skin is closely arranged with diamond-shaped scales, which is suspected to be made of python skin. After the identification of Shanghai Wildlife Identification Center, it was confirmed that the skin of the erhu drum is made of Burmese python (Python bivittatus) leather, and it is a species in Appendix II. of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (hereinafter referred to as CITES).
