To carry forward and disseminate traditional culture and art, and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the citizens, on March 16, the Shigu District Guzheng Public Welfare Training Course officially opened in the Shigu District Cultural Center.

Both students and parents brought their children to sign up for the lecture. The students were very devoted and mastered every detail and skill carefully. During the first class, they had a preliminary understanding of the guzheng and mastered the basic fingering of the guzheng.

This free training class attracted a total of 80 students and parents to sign up first, and the course will last until July 23. The event invited senior guzheng teacher Luo Meili to teach. The activity started with the melodious sound of the guzheng, and the teachers and students collectively performed tunes such as "I'm Proud, I'm Chinese" and "Women's Flower". Afterwards, teacher Li Xiaoqing fully mobilized the enthusiasm of the students through the game interaction - listening to the zheng and guessing songs, and taught everyone the principle of guzheng vocalization and basic movement essentials through simple explanations.

Peng Fang, cultural curator of Shigu District, Hengyang City, said that Shigu District held a series of public welfare classroom activities of "Culture Benefiting the People, Literature and Art Entering Thousands of Homes", which met the multi-level, differentiated and personalized needs of residents and made their daily life colorful.
